PROF TEOMAN KILIÇ, MD

Interventional Cardiologist

Philosophy underlying Interventional Cardiology can be summarized by the words which had been told centuries ago and which may be regarded as the fundamental principles of medicine: “Primum Non Nocere!” (First, do not harm the patient!) The aim of the interventional cardiologists is to treat the patient by minimal invasive approaches with a maximum benefit but with a minimum damage. Thus, percutaneous transcatheter treatment methods provide very good results especially in patients with difficult heart diseases and who are considered to be high risk surgical candidates.
