TriClip
Triküspid TEER, triküspid kapaktaki kaçağı azaltmak amacıyla geliştirilen, kasıktan girilerek uygulanan kapalı (transkateter) bir tedavi yöntemidir.
What is TriClip?
TriClip is a minimally invasive treatment method applied via catheter without the need for open heart surgery in patients with tricuspid valve regurgitation. The tricuspid valve is located on the right side of the heart, between the right atrium and right ventricle.
How Does It Work?
The TriClip procedure is performed through a catheter from the groin area (femoral vein). The catheter is delivered to the right side of the heart and reduces leakage by bringing the leaflets of the tricuspid valve closer together. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, accompanied by echocardiography and fluoroscopy.
Who Is It Suitable For?
- Patients with moderate-severe or severe tricuspid valve regurgitation
- Patients with right heart failure findings
- Patients with high risk for open heart surgery
- Patients with right heart failure complications such as liver dysfunction, edema, ascites
Advantages
- Non-surgical solution
- Improves right heart function
- Improvement in liver functions
- Reduction in complaints such as edema and ascites
- Improvement in quality of life
After the Procedure
After the TriClip procedure, patients are usually discharged within 2-3 days. Regular follow-up and medication use after the procedure are important. Significant improvement in right heart failure findings is observed.
